• uses specific names of people. This includes initials and "made-up" names.
  You MAY use "John Doe" and "Jane Doe," but avoidance of names altogether is preferred.
• uses vulgar language or excessively uses foul language.
• contains an e-mail address, web link, or other means of contact.
• is a reply to another story.
• is advice to the author of a story.
• is general advice to others.
• requests advice.

"Stories" that fall into these categories WILL BE DELETED without notice. If you wish to post any of the above, please do so in our I Hate My In-laws Forums.

IMPORTANT

Submitted stories that are accepted WILL NOT be deleted at the request of the author or anybody else. We strongly encourage you to make your story as generic as possible. Remember, your in-laws may stumble upon this site.
