Re: not invited...

Within 3 months of my FIL dating his girlfriend he wanted my girls to call her "Gamma". I had a real problem with this given that my girls had already gone thru two years of Christmas photos with Santa and women who were no longer in his life. I was over the "pretend to be the perfect grandma to ste...

Re: not invited...

Hi, Haven't been here in a while... but, boy have I learned a lot. If your husband attends an event that you ARE NOT invited too... and he still goes WITH your child... IT is a SERIOUS problem. THEY WIN... end of story. What I have learned over the years is that "other" family members DEMAND respect...

Re: SIL, you are a spiled F***ing BRAT!

The only part of the story that is any of your business is her rude comment made to you. I liked Canadianangel's comeback. How do you know so much about her? I find it is best to know as little as possible about my inlaws... and them me! And, when the sarcastic comments come... if you can... have yo...

Have you ever heard of this???

My DD and I ran into my FIL today at Publix... I was nice and told me DD she should say "hello". Well, I engaged in small talk with him and mentioned that we were shopping for all the Southern New Years Day traditions.... Ham, white fish, cornbread, collard greens, black eyed peas, etc. FIL then inf...

Re: Family Christmas (semi-vent)

NOPE, the dollars you spent were not worth it. Or, a dollar saved is a lesson learned. I am not sure. Miles... I have been following you for years...I say "let it go".... You and your hubby have "more precious" souls to take care of!

Hugs! and Merry Christmas!

Re: Help!

Stop caring about people who obviously do not care about you. You can not make people love you or your family. Surround yourself with people who DO love you and WANT to spend time with you. Save yourself the heartache... why would you want these people in your life in the first place. Having great f...

Re: Classic in-law stupidity

A friend of mine spent $13.00 to take a taxi to Marta to go to the airport because she didn't want to pay $22.00 at the "park in ride". So, she is returning today.... and spending another $13.00 dollars to get home from the Marta stop.... Some people are just not good with money... Sure, let's call ...

Re: The "other" website....

ISTS... you are a better DIL than I. I could imagine helping pay for cost of care... but to actually bathe or feed my dying FIL sends chills up my spine. My MIL... absolutely (if I had to)... FIL... now WAY! Beardo.... you should offer your services to that website... you are a much better writer an...

The "other" website....

Once in a while I love to tinker over at Grandparents.com because they are so over the top regarding their "grandparent" duties that it reminds me of my FIL basicly trying to be the "top dog" in my DD's life. Today they list these two articles... Hopefully it is okay to post them here. First of all....
