Re: How do you get a photo removed from facebook?

Hooray! Just check periodically that she didn't repost that photo - since removing it off of FB wouldn't remove it from her computer files.

Hopefully the hint has been received!

Time To Chat About Holiday Plans

Happy October Ladies! It's that time again when we chat about 1.) what the holiday plans are (with or without the in-laws) and 2.) what (if anything) you are doing for your in-laws this holiday season. I'll start... Plans: We will spend Thanksgiving with my family. We will likely hear from the IL's,...

Re: OMG! Why did I spy again!?

Such a shame to live like that. It's hard to resist peeking, but sometimes can result in that little pang of vindication! I saw recent photos of my sibs-in-law and couldn't help but chuckle - some of the things they've chastised me about are in abundance in their photos, and reading between the line...

Re: How do you get a photo removed from facebook?

So sorry, I'm sure this is super frustrating! Hopefully FB will have it removed, but if not perhaps your daughter will need to take some action as well. I had to ask an in-law to remove a photo they posted without asking permission first. Naturally they threw their heads back and howled at the injus...

Re: Advice Please...

1.) Welcome back :) 2.) No more photos where Dad can see them! If he can't respect your request to keep them off of his page, then no more pics for Dad! 3.) I am not in favor of "announcing" that things are now in a state of "complete cut off". Firstly, you don't owe him any explanations and should ...

Re: So Happy I'm Missing This S***show

It should be an interesting show. I wouldn't want to go, either, but would love to be a fly on the wall! When we mentioned we had decided to move several hours away, it got a very frosty reception (as though they were actually happy we lived anywhere near them - I mean what gave that away, their sil...

Re: I don't even know where to begin!

Oh Girl, I am so sorry!! I can feel the devastation and confusion coming through your post. I have to say that I had the same knee-jerk reaction the others did upon reading it (which is that it certainly does feel like things between your DH and his mother might not be the only relationship that is ...

Re: Funeral Dilemma

I agree with the others. ...there is a petty part of me that considers going to an IL funeral just to be a complete and utter bitch. Wear an inappropriate outfit with a smug grin on my face and play games on my phone while they all wail and weep  Jigglypuff, these are my sentiments exactly...

Re: How long has it been?

So nice to have this "check in" post, great idea! I'm still VLC with the in-laws and hubs is LC. I check in with my heart to see if it can handle spending time chatting with people who so obviously hate me, and most recently that was a resounding "NO" so hubs did so without me. My hubs has been enjo...

Re: How long has it been?

It has been quiet on here. I hope everyone is doing well. I finally feel a small amount of vindication for what those vipers put us through. Even on my worst day I'm happier than they'll ever be and that's karma I'm satisfied with. I think this is what gives me the most amount of peace: knowing how...

Re: Funeral Dilemma

Funerals are for the living. If you felt your husband absolutely needed you there for emotional support, then I might consider going. Otherwise, I'd steer clear of that shit show. I'd stay home and raise a glass. 8)

WhyOhWhy ~ But then again, I would enjoy her squirm from discomfort. I can keep my head of high This is my main motivation any time we have contact with the IL's. They seethe just to see my face and howl in anguish if I speak. As a result, I make sure that most of the time I make some kind of appea...

Re: FIL's birthday manipulations

He sounds manipulative as hell, and just as dishonest. What a game player! I say, let him play whatever age games he wants, if it makes him feel better. It won't change the nature of your relationship with him, you know? He could claim to be 150 and you'd be just as cautious around him! What a wack-...

Re: Laying It On Thick...

Don't sit around and wait to see what his agenda is, you should come right out and hash it out and make it clear what your boundaries are around it. For me, I wouldn't (necessarily) mind a trip where some of the time would be spent with my hubs visiting with his family for some event (like that air ...

Re: Casting - People who want a stronger in-law relationship

No, actually. These people are evil and I tend not to want to get any closer to evil people! If these people were reasonable, then we wouldn't be having these issues with them. Some people might have hope for a better relationship. I think most of us are just working on creating boundaries so that w...
