Holiday movies

Post by WatchingMyBack » Mon Dec 19, 2016 4:56 pm

I was delighted yesterday afternoon to watch two of my favorite holiday-ish comedy movies (too dang gone cold to do anything else !!)

"Last Holiday" with Queen Latifah

"Trading Places" with Dan Ackroyd, Eddie Murphy and Jamie Lee Curtis

What are some other favorites, other than the standards (like Home Alone, Home Alone 2, National Lampoon Christmas Vacation, etc.)

I did try to watch "Bad Santa" but just couldn't make it through the beginning. Just not my cup of tea.

I think it's just called Holiday with Kate Winslet, Cameron Diaz, Jack Black, and Jude Law. Very sweet rom-com that even DH thought was funny enough to be interesting.

Elf, of course!

Just Friends, with Ryan Reynolds but Anna Faris steals the show.

"The Christmas Story", "Year without a Santa clause" are some of my favorites. Although just watched "Bad Mom's" with DH last night. Killed ourselves laughing.

I watched Shrek Christmas.

The wife tells Shrek that his feelings don't matter about having Donkey and his family around for the holidays.

He would rather just celebrate Xmas with his wife and children. She basically called him selfish and said that Xmas without others isn't complete with just them!
