I Hate My Inlaws!

Zero Effort

Well, it's nice to see that you did one-stop-shopping at the grocery store and then just tossed everything willy nilly into a box, no wrapping, no real padding of any kind, no note or lovely card. You do realize that we have our own grocery store and amazon for these exact items, right?

It's clear you did the absolute bare minimum because you felt shamed/guilted into doing SOMETHING...something two weeks after Christmas is over, no less.

Just as an FYI, it just got put into our food cupboards and snack bins like all of the other stuff, no fuss made. That wasn't me, that was my husband who did that.

I suggested he call and thank you, but he chose "maybe another time" as his answer. Well, I suppose a thank you is in order for the small effort made (many items arrived smashed, by the way, probably because it was all too heavy for the box it was in and there were no reinforcements or padding).

So, thank you...for what feels like a rather cold, no-real-thought-or-care-put-in, supply of crushed grocery goods. My kids would have preferred something lovingly picked out by their grandparents and sent early enough to be waiting for them on Christmas morning...but they are used to not having that and so probably never even think about it anymore.
